United States Proof Sets are unique items that were first produced in 1936 with a very limited release. Proof coins refer to the method of production and not the finish of the coins although proof coins usually are distinguished by their mirror like surfaces.
Each set contains:
- Lincoln cent
- Jefferson nickel
- Roosevelt dime
- America the Beautiful Quarters -Homestead, Kisatchie, Blue Ridge, Bombay Hook and Saratoga
- Kennedy half
- Sacagawea dollar
- Presidential dollars - Harry S. Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson
